Eviction Settlement Fund could help those facing evictions in Memphis & Shelby County

The program is only for residential tenants.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The city of Memphis wants to help if your facing eviction because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Memphis Housing and Community Development and Shelby County Community Services teamed up to create an eviction settlement fund.

The program is only for residential tenants and has two goals: if evicted, they will have access to direct legal services to negotiate with property owners. The program funds will also be available to directly pay negotiated settlements to owners.
