Opa! Memphis’ 59th annual Greek Fest is underway. The two-day festival is put on by the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.

You can hear traditional Greek music and enjoy traditional dishes and delicious desserts. They also offer tours of the beautiful church sanctuary.

“We want everybody to come out!” says Kathy Zambelis, the Greek Festival publicity chairman. “We also have a drive-thru right here on Galloway at Highland, so if you can’t join us, you can drive-thru, but we want you to join us and bring your whole family!”

This year for the first time, you can also try Greek lamb chops, and free Greek dance lessons are also available!

Gates reopen at 11:00 a.m. Saturday. Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for kids ages 6 to 11.

You can also get in free if you bring three canned food items to donate to the Mid-South Food Bank.
