Mississippi teacher charged with molestation in non-school incident

A Mississippi elementary school teacher has been charged with molesting a toddler.

UNION, Miss. (AP) — AMississippi elementary school teacher has been charged with molesting atoddler.

Union Police Chief BillyPat Walker tells local news outlets that 28-year-old Justin Michael Little wasarrested July 18 for an incident that didn’t happen in a school.

Walker says Littletouched the toddler inappropriately, leaving a bite mark on her neck. Little ischarged with one count of child molestation and is free on $30,000 bail. It’sunclear if he has a lawyer.

The chief says Little wasbabysitting the toddler in Union and the family contacted police. Walker saysLittle later confessed.

Forest schoolSuperintendent Karen Norwood says Little has taught second grade there since2014. She says district officials are investigating.

Walker says Little’s casewill be presented to Neshoba County grand jurors in December.
