MEMPHIS, Tennessee —

In Monday's Ransom Note: COVID-19 in Tennessee.

Vanderbilt University is out with a new poll tonight, revealing how it's being handled and how it's affecting our lives. Governor Bill Lee's job approval rating and President Trump's haven't changed a bit. Lee is at 64%, Trump at 51%.

When it comes to voting in a pandemic, a majority of you 57% strongly or somewhat support voting by mail, 85%t want more time to early vote.

In the household, only 28% said COVID-19 was a big public health problem where they live, but 64% said its economic impact was. 31% are worried about not being able to pay their monthly bills. 44% are worried about not having enough for emergencies.

We know Republicans and Democrats are polarized on coronavirus. It turns out so are men and women. 66% of Tennessee women worry about the disease striking in their home. 52% of men felt the same way.

Vanderbilt pollsters say much of what influences our view on coronavirus is whether we live in a city or rural county, except when it comes to the economy.
