Grizzlies, Tigers, or concert at FedExForum? Be prepared to show your vaccine card or negative COVID test

All unvaccinated fans 12 and older must present proof of a negative COVID-19 test when entering - taken at least 72 hours prior.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — UPDATED: FedExForum will require proof of vaccine or negative COVID-19 test in order to attend a Memphis Grizzlies or Tigers basketball game or for most concerts and events.

If you are not vaccinated, your COVID test must be taken 72 hours before coming and it must be negative.

FedExForum leaders made the official announcement Wednesday about the requirements.

They said beginning with the Memphis Grizzlies home opener Wednesday, October 20, 2021, all unvaccinated fans 12 and older must present proof of a negative COVID-19 test when entering - taken at least 72 hours prior.

Vaccinated attendees must show proof of at least one dose of vaccination for those same events.

Children ages 2-11 must be masked in FedExForum, and if they are sitting within 15 feet of the court for Grizzlies games, they will also need to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test.

FedExForum is using CLEAR Health Pass as a secure way for fans to upload their vaccination cards and test results for faster entry. Using CLEAR on phones will allow fans to access priority lines to go into FedExForum.

Those showing physical cards/negative test results will go through a manual check.

Officials also said that in compliance with the Shelby County mask mandate that remains in place through the end of October, everyone – regardless of vaccination status - will be required to wear a face mask inside. That includes all sports, concerts, and any other events.

The FedExForum entry policy will be in place through at least November 19, but it may be modified for specific concerts or events, so check FedExForum.com prior to attending a concert or event.

“We polled our season ticket holders and found that a clear-cut supermajority of our MVPs are vaccinated and want to be in a vaccinated/tested environment for games,” said Grizzlies President Jason Wexler. “It was genuinely encouraging that the best interests of the health of our community so profoundly aligned with the preferred way for Grizzlies’ season ticket holders to enjoy games at FedExForum in the current environment. Those who are vaccinated overwhelmingly said they are willing to show proof of vaccination. Once the mask order is lifted, and with the vaccination/negative test policy already in place, fans can get back to a mask-less environment inside FedExForum with the confidence that everyone in attendance is either vaccinated or has shown proof of a negative test.”
