MEMPHIS, Tenn. — MPD responded to a two-vehicle involved car accident on Highway 61 near S. Third St. and Weaver that occurred around 12:19 a.m.
MPD arrived on the scene at approximately 12:40 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers observed that the two vehicles collided head-on. Both drivers involved in the crash were pronounced dead at the scene.
All four lanes in the area are currently blocked off. Drivers should expect delays.
