60's For Sunday!

60's For Sunday!

Unseasonably warm temperatures are back again for tomorrow, but rain chances return as well.
MEMPHIS, TN--After a chilly start this morning, temperatures rebounding nicely under a breezy southerly wind. Temperatures will again climb into the 60's on Sunday. Clouds will increase overnight tonight and into the day tomorrow as our next weather-maker arrives in the Mid-South. We are still lacking quite a bit of moisture, so showers will be light at best tomorrow afternoon. Scattered showers will continue overnight Sunday into early Monday before clearing out. Monday will be our last mild day before a second weather system impacts the area.

Weather models are starting to agree now on the Christmas Day weather system. Christmas Day will be cloudy and rain showers will begin in the afternoon. Rain could be heavy at time Tuesday night and overnight. Colder air will begin to filter into locations along and northwest of I-40 overnight and a rain/snow mix will be possible. On Wednesday morning, weather models continue to indicate enough moisture and below freezing temperatures to warrant snow chances. It is too early to make any claims on how much, if anything, will accumulate, but wintry weather does look likely right after Christmas.

Temperatures turn to more seasonable normals by the end of next week.

Have a great weekend!
