MEMPHIS, TN--Finally, a quiet week of weather for the Mid-South! Sunshine sticks around for the weekend and most of next week with all weather-makers far from our area. Temperatures will warm significantly tomorrow as southwesterly winds pick up in the afternoon. Highs on Saturday will soar into the upper 50's. Sunday will be mild as well, but will start to signal a bit of change.
A dry cold front with very cold air will dive into the area on Tuesday. Monday will be our transition day with highs in the lower 40's. The coldest day by far will be on Tuesday with highs only in the upper 30's. Fortunately, the arctic air will be short-lived and will retreat northward quickly. By Thursday, temperatures will return to the upper 50's and will even top the 60's by Friday. Friday will also bring our next opportunity of rain in the Mid-South. Until then, put away the snow boots and umbrellas and let's fire up the grill!
