MEMPHIS, TN--Wow, it is going to be cold today! Overnight, a reinforcing shot of colder air began to work through the Mid-South. Some spots north of I-40 are starting off in the teens! Also, a light band of snow from Dyersburg southeastward fell overnight and could make for slick roads this morning. We are in for a day of sunshine again, but temperatures will certainly struggle to climb  into the mid 30's. Fortunately, this cold snap is a brief one. Temperatures will warm up beginning tomorrow, but before that will happen, rain will move into the Mid-South. This will pose a brief threat for freezing rain early Saturday, but the threat will end quickly as temperatures warm above freezing.

Sunshine will return for Sunday and temperatures will rebound into the 50's. Mild weather will stick around all of next week. Slight rain chances will be possible on Monday as well as the end of the work week. Have a great Friday and a weekend ahead!
