A Cold Saturday

A Cold Saturday

Memphis--Colder temperatures will pour into the Mid-South Saturday making for a blustery start to the weekend.  Lingering moisture and an upper level weather system will combine to provide flurries and snow showers Saturday morning for areas along and east of the Mississippi River.  No snow accumulation is expected.  Clearing will take place across eastern Arkansas late Saturday morning.  Clouds will be slower to clear in Tennessee and Mississippi.  As stable air arrives Saturday night, clearing will overspread the entire Mid-South.  With a clear sky and light wind, temperatures will fall into the low to mid 20s Sunday morning.  Sunday will be dry with increasing clouds during the mid afternoon.  Rain returns to the area Monday and continues New Year's Eve and early New Year's Day.
