MEMPHIS, TN--It will be a nice day for "Hump Day" with pleasant temperatures in the lower and middle 60's. Mostly cloudy skies will be present, especially along and south of I-40 today. More sunshine can be found locations north of I-40. Temperatures will be a touch cooler in areas that have thicker cloud cover during peak heating hours. Winds will turn from the northeast to the southeast this evening and clouds will spread northward. More moisture and warm air will be transported into the region beginning overnight tonight.
With more moisture creeping into the area tomorrow, rain chances will be back in the forecast. Thursday should be mostly dry and milder with only a slight chance for a shower or two. Better rain chances will be found heading into the weekend with ample moisture in place. The best chances of rain arrives Saturday and Sunday. Computer models continue to struggle with the timing of the most intense rainfall. At this point, it appears the heaviest rainfall will arrive Sunday night and will push through the area by mid-morning on Monday. Temperatures will fall drastically as the rain moves through. Highs by early next week will fall below normal with highs only in the low to mid 50's.
Have a great Wednesday!
