A Stormy End To The Week

A Stormy End To The Week

The Storm Prediction Center has outline parts of the Mid-South in a slight risk for severe weather today.
Parts of the Mid-South are under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 11 a.m. An area of rain and thunderstorms continues to work southeastward into northeastern Mississippi. Heavy rain and lightning are the primary threats this morning, but damaging wind and hail can't be ruled out. The Storm Prediction Center has outlined areas along and south of I-40 in a slight risk for severe weather this afternoon. Additional isolated storms could form in northern Mississippi this afternoon.

Temperatures will take a hit today thanks to clouds and rain. Highs will only top out in the lower to middle 90's. Some areas may stay cooler with thick clouds overhead. All rain will come to an end tonight and drier air will begin to work into the area. This will make for a very pleasant start to our weekend. Temperatures will only top out in the 80's over the weekend and into next week.
