A Wet Start To The Week...

and to the new year.
Memphis--Clouds will increase Sunday night as a new weather system develops in the southern plains.  Dry air in the lowest part of the atmosphere will limit the chance of precipitation Sunday night and early Monday.  However, sleet and freezing rain may occur briefly along and especially well north of I-4O if moisture can reach the ground early Monday.  There will likely be several dry hours Monday morning, but the chance of rain will increase during the afternoon and evening.  By Monday night rain will become likely.  New Year's Eve will be wet and cold with temperatures holding steady in the 40s as the guitar drops on Beale Street.  Light rain will continue Monday with the best chance of rain in northern Mississippi.
