Colder Air Returns Tomorrow

A few clouds return on Monday and so do cold temperatures.
MEMPHIS, TN--It has been another gorgeous day in the Mid-South. Temperatures have ranged from cooler highs near 50 degrees across our northern tier counties to near 60 degrees south. Colder air will start it's descent into the area from north to south overnight tonight and tomorrow. This will bring a few extra clouds to the Mid-South that we haven't seen in days, but fortunately, no rain. Temperatures on Monday will top out in the low and mid 40's. Tuesday will be the coldest day in the near term as high pressure centers up overhead. Highs will not climb out of the 30's despite lots of sunshine on Tuesday.

The roller-coaster continues on Wednesday as strong southwesterly flow boosts temperatures again into the lower and middle 50's. Moisture will start to increase in advance of a late week weather system to arrive Thursday. Temperatures will be warm with highs near 60 degrees on Thursday and showers will be scattered across the area. A secondary blast of arctic air will arrive on Friday and any lingering low level moisture may result in a few isolated pockets of a wintry mix. We will monitor that possibility as the week continues. For now, enjoy the sunshine and get back out the heavy coat.
