Freezing Rain Threat Ends, Warm Up Begins

A Freezing Rain Advisory is in effect for northern counties until 9 a.m.
MEMPHIS, TN--Good Friday morning! Scattered showers will continue before noon, especially along and north of I-40. Overnight, southeast winds has moved warmer air into the Mid-South and temperatures have warmed into the 40's south of I-40. Temperatures will warm to near 50 degrees before slowly dropping this afternoon under a northeast wind. Clouds will hang out in the Mid-South for the majority of the day  before clearing this evening. Friday night will be dry and cool, but very pleasant.

More sunshine is on the way for Saturday. Temperatures will be on the rise through the weekend with highs by Sunday around 60 degrees. Moisture will begin to return to the Mid-South early next week. As a result, a stray shower can't be ruled out Sunday and Monday. By far, the best threat of heavy rain and storms will arrive on Tuesday. A much more potent weather-maker will arrive Tuesday evening and will allow unsettled weather to develop along and ahead of the cold front. Temperatures will warm to 70 degrees on Tuesday, which could set the stage for a few strong storms. Colder weather will quickly fill in behind the rain on Wednesday with temperatures back into the 40's by next Thursday.

Have a wonderful Friday everyone!
