From lots of heat to many showers; the new week brings new weather

Monday starts a 3 day stretch of showers and storms, the details come in timing.
We're working one piece of disturbed weather through after another this week. The latest will move through in time for Monday's early commute bringing heavy rain, lightning and gusty wind. Off and on rain will linger through the early afternoon; that's when we get a break. The afternoon reprieve from the rain will still allow highs to get close to the low 90s. I'm not saying it won't rain on Monday afternoon, but the nastiest of it will be in the morning. Another area of low pressure will drive across the Midsouth Tuesday. The same set of circumstances reside there as well but later in the day; Rain, wind and lightning are your biggest issues Tuesday afternoon. The caboose in the "rain train" will be a cold front on Wednesday. During the afternoon there's another chance at showers and storms; those too may pack an extra wind, rain, lightning and hail punch. Through all of this, take this nugget home; it won't be raining everywhere all the time. Instead, numerous showers and thunderstorms will be off and on Monday through Wednesday with highs staying around 90°. The front will be east of here Thursday allowing for the humidity to let up. Drier, not cooler, air looks to take over with mostly sunny skies into the weekend with highs near 91°.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
