Here Comes The Rain...

Memphis--An unsettled period of weather is ahead for the Mid-South.  2 storm systems will bring rain to the area over the next week.  The first weather system arrives Tuesday night and continues into Thursday night.  Weather models indicate that a large swath of rain totaling 1-2 inches will occur with this system.  The atmosphere will become more unstable Thursday afternoon and evening resulting in t-storms.  A few strong/severe storms are possible.  Clouds should limit the severe weather threat somewhat Thursday.  Friday, the Mid-South will be between systems and briefly see some sunshine.  Temperatures will become much warmer than normal Thursday with highs near 70 Thursday through Saturday.

The next rain maker arrives Saturday.  A strong cold front will become aligned parallel to fast winds high in the atmosphere.  This will result in a slow moving storm that will bing another soaking to the area.  The cold returns Saturday night into Sunday.  Temperatures may be cold enough for the northern Mid-South to see some wintry weather at times Sunday night through Tuesday night.
