Hot & Humid Today, Severe Storms Tomorrow

High temperatures will again soar into the middle 80's this afternoon.
MEMPHIS WEATHER--Good Wednesday morning everyone! The humidity has finally moved back into the Mid-South. It is a muggy morning, but a nice southerly breeze will help with the comfort level this afternoon. High temperatures will again climb into the mid 80's. The record high for today is 91 degrees. We will be a few degrees shy of this record high, but too close for me! An isolated shower or storm is possible this afternoon with the heating of the day, but like yesterday, the majority of the Mid-South will remain dry. Temperatures will remain mild and muggy overnight.

A powerful weather system will bring unsettled weather to the Mid-South tomorrow. A cold front with rain and strong/severe storms will head towards the Mid-South during the afternoon. Isolated storms could develop between 2 pm-3 pm ahead of the main line of rain. Isolated storms will have the potential to reach severe limits with primary threats including damaging wind, hail, and isolated tornadoes. The leading edge of heavy rain and storms will reach eastern Arkansas between 6 p.m.-7 p.m. and will cross into the metro area between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Heavy rain will continue in the metro through midnight. Eastern counties in the Mid-South will see an arrival time of rain between midnight and 2 a.m. Cooler air will fill in behind the rain and temperatures on Friday will only top out in the upper 50's. Sunshine and pleasant weather is in store for the weekend.
