MEMPHIS, TN--It's extremely humid and hot and outside. The heat will amplify as we get closer towards the holiday and into the work week ahead. Effects from Isaac will still be felt in the way of scattered showers and storms for Sunday. The majority of activity will stay north, but heating of the day will add to the possibility of afternoon scattered storms on Sunday and Monday.
For Labor Day, cookouts should be on as scheduled even though more scattered showers will be on the menu. Temperatures will certainly be hot with highs in the upper 90's for the "unofficial end of summer". Slight chances for showers will exist through mid-week and temperatures will slowly lower a bit towards Friday. At this time, models are hinting at a late week cold front which would bring more rain to the Mid-South Friday and Saturday with a substantial cool down for the weekend. We will keep a close eye on that possibility!
Enjoy the weekend and the start of college football!
