MEMPHIS, TN--An Ice Storm Warning will remain in effect until 6 a.m. for many eastern counties in the Mid-South. Additional ice accumulation is not anticipated. However, isolated light freezing drizzle is still possible and could lead to additional slick spots on overpasses and bridges. Clouds will remain for the better part of the day today and will keep temperatures from climbing significantly. Highs today will only top out around 40 degrees. After this morning, the dry stretch begins.

Drier air works into the Mid-South this evening and will help to clear out clouds overnight. Thursday will be a touch warmer with highs in the upper 40's. Full sunshine will give way to nice afternoon highs in the low and mid 50's by the end of the week. Our next system will be a "dry" system to arrive Saturday and Sunday. This weather system won't bring any rain, but it will lead to increased cloud cover and another substantial drop in temperatures.

Have a great and a safe Wednesday!
