One More Cold Day Before A Big Warm Up

One More Cold Day Before A Big Warm Up

Temperatures will soar into the 50's starting Monday.
MEMPHIS, TN--Overcast skies will continue tonight with chilly overnight lows in the mid 30's. Light winds, along with a few breaks in the clouds, will allow patchy fog to develop in the Mid-South after midnight. Drier air will work into the area Sunday and more sunshine will break out in the afternoon. Temperatures will be cool with highs in the mid and upper 50's. The weather story becomes much more interesting starting Monday with a big warm up for the Mid-South.

Breezy southwesterly winds will kick the warm air back into the region starting Monday. Highs will climb into the lower 50's Monday afternoon under full sunshine. Highs near 60 will be possible despite increased rain chances for the middle of the week. Showers will begin to increase across the Mid-South late Tuesday night in advance of our next weather system. The heaviest rain will arrive to the Mid-South Wednesday and Wednesday night. Depending on how quickly this weather system pushes through the Mid-South will determine how long we hang on to rain chances. Weather models indicate this system could slow down a bit. Therefore, rain chances will now extend into the first part of Thursday before drier weather returns.

Sunshine and temperatures in the low and middle 60's will arrive by Friday. This will set the stage for what could be an active Saturday night and Sunday morning with rain and thunderstorms.

Have a great weekend!
