Rain & Cooler Temps Are Back In Town For Sunday

Sunday high temperatures will be much cooler north of I-40 and very warm south of I-40.
MEMPHIS WEATHER-- I hope everyone had a fantastic Saturday! Temperatures skyrocketed into the mid and upper 70's across the Mid-South. Overnight lows will remain warm tonight with lows only in the upper 50's. More clouds will sneak into the Mid-South after midnight in advance of a weather system that arrives tomorrow. Tomorrow will be a very odd day weather-wise. As our frontal boundary drops in from the north, temperatures will vary greatly across the area. Locations along and north of I-40 will only see afternoon temperatures in the 50's. South of I-40 temperatures will again climb into the upper 60's and low 70's. The Memphis metro area will be right on the dividing line of warm and cooler weather. Therefore, dress in layers tomorrow.

A stray shower cannot be ruled out late tonight across the extreme northern portion of the Mid-South. Best chances of rain Sunday will arrive late in the day and will be mostly confined to areas along and north of I-40. The heaviest rain will arrive between midnight and 6 a.m. Monday morning to most of the Mid-South. Temperatures Monday morning will again warm up before cooler temperatures filter into the Mid-South during the afternoon. Scattered showers and a few storms will be likely into Monday afternoon.

Tuesday will be dry and a touch cooler as we head into the start of spring. Rain chances return late into next week with cooler afternoon temperatures. Have a great rest of your weekend!
