MEMPHIS, TN--It has been a pleasant first half of the weekend, but clouds will be on the increase tonight. An area of low pressure currently is spinning across eastern Texas. As it slides across the Gulf Coast on Sunday, moisture will surge northward into the Mid-South. Rain will arrive across our Mississippi counties early Sunday morning with overcast skies thickening up elsewhere in the Mid-South. Sunday afternoon will feature scattered showers across the majority of the Mid-South and as a result, temperatures tomorrow afternoon will be mild with highs in the mid 70's.

The heaviest rain will fall across the Mississippi Delta region overnight into Monday. Moderate rainfall can also be expected from Memphis and points to the east during the day Monday. Meanwhile, cooler temperatures from the northwest will creep into the region keeping highs on Tuesday in the upper 60's and lower 70's. Drier and pleasant conditions will arrive for mid-week with slight chances of rain back in the forecast for Friday and Saturday.

Have a great rest of the weekend!
