MEMPHIS WEATHER--Good Monday to you! Scattered showers and storms are rolling through northern parts of the Mid-South this morning and will continue to spread southeast. Most of the Mid-South south of I-40 will be dry this morning. Breaks in the clouds will be found after midday and as temperatures heat up, additional pop-up storms will develop this afternoon. The mid and upper level pattern will put the Mid-South in line for a few more opportunities for rain. Computer models continue to indicate the possibility of an area of heavy rain to head towards the area Tuesday morning. Lightning and heavy rain with gusty winds are likely. Convective systems are common this time of year, but also difficult to forecast. Some spots will stay totally dry while other areas could prolonged heavy rain. Temperatures for most of the week will top out in the lower 90's with another round of rain arriving Tuesday morning.
