Showers Return Today For Parts Of The Mid-South

Temperatures will remain warm today, but scattered showers will pop up this afternoon.
MEMPHIS WEATHER--Happy "hump" day everyone! It's warm outside this morning and a touch muggy as well. Rain chances return to the area today, but most of the rain will be found along and south of I-40. Certainly, the heating of the day could help spark isolated showers anywhere in the Mid-South this afternoon. Highs today will top out around 80 degrees. A better chance for rain will arrive Thursday as our next weather-maker inches closer to the area.

The heaviest rain tomorrow and Friday will be found across eastern Arkansas and the Missouri boot heel. Isolated storms are possible with stronger storms that will be capable of producing heavy rain and small hail. Temperatures will be much cooler beginning Friday with highs in the lower and middle 60's for the first weekend in May. Isolated showers will continue through the weekend. Drier weather and temperatures in the 70's will return by the middle of next week.
