The Big Chill Returns Thursday

Memphis Weather--Cold arctic air sitting in the lower Ohio Valley will fly southward Wednesday night ending our briefly mild conditions.  Temperatures will fall through the 30s late Wednesday night and only rebound into the upper 30s Thursday afternoon.  A few sprinkles are possible south of I-40 Thursday, but a much better chance of rain and freezing rain will arrive after midnight Thursday night.  Areas along and especially north of I-40 will see the best chance for light freezing rain through 8:00 a.m. Friday.  Temperatures will warm above freezing late Friday morning changing freezing rain to rain before ending.  By Friday afternoon sun returns to the area and temperatures warm into the mid 40s.  Freezing fog may develop in northeast Arkansas and west Tennessee Saturday morning.  By the end of the weekend a pattern change will mean much warmer weather for next week.  Highs will climb into the 60s Monday and Tuesday.  Strong t-storms may develop Tuesday afternoon and evening.
