MEMPHIS,TN--Temperatures have warmed nicely today, but another cold night is ahead. Temperatures tonight will drop below freezing in many spots with upper 20's anticipated in outlying areas. Sunshine will continue tomorrow and will make for a pleasant start to the work week. By Tuesday, the thermometer will spike quite a bit with highs ranging in the mid to upper 50's! Our next weather-maker will make for an active middle part of the week. A few showers are possible ahead of this weather system late Tuesday night, but the heaviest rain will arrive during the Wednesday and Thursday time frame. Eastern Arkansas will experience the heaviest rainfall with this system, but most areas in the Mid-South will still see rain.
Temperatures will climb into the lower 60's Thursday and will carry into the first half of the weekend. Friday will look like a typical spring day for the Mid-South. Warm, moist air will be in place through Saturday out ahead of our late week weather-maker. Rain and storms will be possible Saturday night into Sunday. A cool down will follow.
Have a great week everyone!
