Welcomed Rain Is Here

Welcomed Rain Is Here

But it will wear out it's welcome in a few days
There are quite a few factors in play over the next seven days that will bring a half a foot of rain to the area over time.  Fortunately that amount of rain will be spread over nearly a week, but there will be a couple of days where flash flooding may be an issue early next week.  In the meantime we stay very warm with highs approaching or exceeding 70 degrees Thursday through Saturday.  Today, on/off showers with lots of dry hours through mid afternoon, high 60.

Thursday, showers and thunderstorms especially in the afternoon and evening, warmer, high 69.

The only dry day of the next seven will be Friday as we are in between wet weather makers, high 71.

Rain returns Saturday and will persist rather steadily through Monday if not much of Tuesday.  Much colder air returns Sunday with temperatures falling into the 40s for highs and staying for most of next week.  The warm rain the next several days is much more manageable on the old bones.  It will be a rather nasty few days once the cold arrives.
