Wintry Weather Ends In The Mid-South

Scattered rain showers continue as we wrap up the work week.
MEMPHIS WEATHER--Several locations in the Mid-South saw rain, sleet, and snow overnight with some areas receiving more than 2.5 inches of snow to the north. Locations in northeast Arkansas (outside of the Mid-South) saw much more snow. Snow places received between 5-7 inches! Fortunately, the wintry weather threat is coming to an end with temperatures now above freezing. Temperatures will slowly climb into the upper 40's today. It will be breezy, chilly, and showery with off and on showers continuing this afternoon. Saturday will be much milder with temperatures near 60 degrees. A good portion of the day will be dry, albeit cloudy, before another wave of rain rolls into the Mid-South during the evening. Temperatures will fall during the day Sunday as rain exits the region. Dry weather is on the menu for next week, but below normal temperatures will continue. Have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend ahead!
