MEMPHIS, TN, (March 28, 2013)—It was announced today that Dentistry With A Heart, an
annual gift of a free day of dentistry, will be held on Saturday, April 20, from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.,
with the goal of providing free fillings, extractions and cleanings to as many people as possible.
The event will be held at two locations simultaneously: Dr. Pat Clark’s practice located at 6750
Poplar Ave., Suite 700, at the corner of Poplar and Kirby, and Cordova Dental located at 8333
Cordova Road.

Patients are seen on a first-com, first-served basis. The dentists do whatever they can at the event
to relieve pain and correct problems. Patients that need ongoing care or whom have problems
that cannot be corrected in one day are referred to community clinics where they can receive
ongoing treatment at low or no cost.

Memphis dentists volunteering at the event are: Dr. Pat Clark, Dr. David Ijams, Dr. Jim Sexton,
Dr. Barrett Sexton, Dr. Mehdi Sadeghi, Dr. Mark Miller, Dr. Steve DeLoach, Dr. David Kizer,
Dr. Brian Rhoads, Dr. Sayed Taghavi, Dr. Clarissa Turner, Dr. Terry Turner, Dr. Timothy Hacker,
Dr. Jeff Frizzell, Dr. Russell Peck, Dr. Chris Griffin, Dr. Matt Sharp, Dr. Jason Collier, Dr. Jack
Fisher, Dr. Chris Getman, Dr. Kenan Clinton, Dr. Marilyn Phillips and Dr. Jerry Midyett.

“We know there are many people in the Mid-South in need of dental treatment who simply
cannot afford it, and as a result, are forced to live with chronic pain,” says Dr. Pat Clark, the
event founder. “Dentistry With A Heart gives us a chance to reach out to the community and help
relieve dental neglect and pain. For us, it’s a chance to give something back.”

Dentistry With A Heart began in 2006 with five doctors and more than 30 volunteers. Last year,
the doctors treated more than 300 patients, many of whom began lining up in the parking lot
before 3 a.m. This year a record 23 dentists will participate along with numerous hygienists and
volunteers.
