With more than eight million records sold and 11 number one hits under his belt, entertainer Jason Aldean recently released one of 2012’s most buzzed about new albums, Night Train. Entertainment Weekly calls Aldean’s delivery on the album “epic,” and Billboard points to the singer pushing the limits to move his “sound forward sonically, vocally and lyrically.” With a high-intensity live show, his tour is no different.
“As a musician, it’s great to be able to shake up the set list and think of cool ways to present new songs in the live show,” said Aldean. “I’m a big fan of both Jake (Owen) and Thomas Rhett, so it’ll be awesome to have those guys out with us.”
Jake Owen released his third studio album, Barefoot Blue Jean Night, back in 2011. The lead-off single and title track to the album along with his second single “Alone With You,” both hit number one on the country charts. The album’s next two singles, “The One That Got Away” and “Anywhere With You,” both reached number one on the Country Airplay chart. Owen toured with Keith Urban in 2011. Last year he released an extended play titled, Endless Summer, featuring the collaboration with chart-topping group Florida Georgia Line titled “Summer Jam.” The collaboration charted within the Top 40 of Hot Country Songs.
Thomas Rhett, son of country singer-songwriter Thomas Rhett Atkins Sr., first got his big break when a song he wrote landed on Aldean’s My Kinda Party back in 2010. He signed a recording contract with Big Machine Records’ Valory Music Group division in 2011. In early 2012, he released his debut single, “Something To Do With My Hands,” followed late in the year by “Beer with Jesus.” Both of these made Top 20 on the Country Airplay charts. Rhett also co-wrote the 2013 singles “1994” by Jason Aldean, “Parking Lot Party” by Lee Brice and “Round Here” by Florida Georgia Line.
