Kroger To Host Flu Clinic Starting Sept. 17

Kroger Delta Division announced today that six Mid-South-area locations will host a flu clinic this Tuesday, Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to meet customer demand for this year’s flu shot.

Memphis, Tenn., Sept. 16, 2013 – Kroger Delta Division announced today that six Mid-South-area locations will host a flu clinic this Tuesday, Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to meet customer demand for this year’s flu shot. The clinics will run through Friday, Sept. 20.

                Each clinic will have 300 doses of the current flu vaccine. In addition, all Kroger locations in the Memphis area received a minimum of 150 doses this week. The cost of the flu shot is $28.

The following Kroger locations will be hosting the clinics this week:

 “Last year’s flu season had a late start and many missed out getting the vaccine. We want to be ahead of the curve now and begin working with our customers to ensure they have the flu shot before the season begins,” said Joe Bell, manager of marketing and public affairs for Kroger Delta Division. “With our pharmacies offering these clinics, we are able to respond in advance of any potential demand or shortage. In addition, our trained staff can also help answer flu questions our customers may have.”  

Flu shots will be administered by Kroger’s certified pharmacists in the clinic area of each pharmacy. No appointment is necessary, although advance sign-up is available. Most insurance plans are accepted.
