The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office along with the Tennessee Division of Consumer Affairs will host a Shred Event and Unwanted Prescription Drug drop off event.
It will be held this Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Sheriff’s Office Training Academy located at 993 Dovecrest.
Gary Cordell, State Director of the Division of Consumer Affairs says, “Events like this are very important to the community as the incidents of identity theft and other related crimes are on the rise statewide. We wish to thank Sheriff Oldham and the Sheriff’s Office for their participation.”
Bring your personal documents to be shredded on site. There will be a two-box maximum per vehicle. Newspaper and cardboard will NOT be accepted. The Sheriff’s Office will have staff on hand to take back your unwanted or expired prescription drugs.
