From the creators of “South Park” and winner of nine Tony® Awards, THE BOOK OF MORMON will play a limited one-week engagement June 24-29, 2014. Subscribers receive priority seating, so a season subscription will be the best way to guarantee tickets to THE BOOK OF MORMON.
“We are thrilled to offer what I think is a spectacular season, fitting for the theatre’s 85th Anniversary!” said Pat Halloran, President and CEO of the Orpheum Theatre and Memphis Development Foundation. “This season will go down in Orpheum Theatre history. It has something for absolutely everyone.”
Winner of five Tony® Awards, including Best Play, WAR HORSE will make its local premier when it opens at the Orpheum on March 25, 2014. The show’s star character, Joey the horse, made a special guest appearance at the announcement on Friday.
“The artistic achievement of this show is something people won’t want to miss,” Halloran noted. “Audiences are completely captivated by Joey. You just can’t take your eyes off this incredible horse.”
The Season will also feature FLASHDANCE: THE MUSICAL, BUDDY: THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY, WEST SIDE STORY, SISTER ACT: A DIVINE MUSICAL COMEDY, and THE MUSIC OF ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER. In addition, the Orpheum will host a special engagement of WICKED, back by “Popular” demand.
The Orpheum is pleased to announce its 2013-2014 Broadway Season Sponsor: Harrah’s Tunica, which is sponsoring its sixth consecutive season.

Current season ticket holders may renew for the 2013-14 Broadway Season through April 19, 2013. Season ticket packages will be available to the general public beginning April 29, 2013. Based on the performance day, packages start at just $182.50 for seven shows. WICKED is optional and may be added to the season package at an additional cost.
