FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP, abc24.com) - The Fayetteville Police Department says it's arrested a Springdale man on suspicion of capital murder in the 2006 killing of a 21-year-old woman.

Police Chief Greg Tabor says officers arrested Rico Cohn this week in the death of Nina Ingram. Authorities provided few details about what led them to Cohn, only saying that they received new information after media reports in April that marked the sixth anniversary of Ingram's death.

Ingram's mother, Judy Ingram, tells Fayetteville television station KHOG that the arrest is "amazing news."

Nina Ingram was found strangled in her apartment on April 22, 2006.

Cohn is being held at the Washington County jail and authorities didn't know if he had an attorney. A first court appearance is set for Friday morning.
