VAN BUREN, Ark. (AP, abc24.com) - Authorities in Sebastian County say a body found in a barrel is that of a missing 16-year-old girl who vanished in Van Buren.
Angela Allen disappeared on Feb. 10 and authorities considered her to be in danger. Sebastian County officials said Tuesday that remains found on the Lavaca property of a man Angela is believed to have had an online relationship with were positively identified as the missing girl's.
The body was found on Friday on the man's property.
Fort Smith television station KHBS reports that investigators tracked down the suspect by checking the girl's online accounts and text messages.
