NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Mindy McCready's time in Nashville, Tenn., was filled with music, and her memorial service in Music City reflected that.
About 200 family members and friends turned out Wednesday afternoon for McCready's memorial at Cathedral of the Incarnation. It was the second service for McCready, whose funeral was held Feb. 26 in her hometown of Fort Myers, Fla.
Old friends Bryan White, Lorrie Morgan and Bekka Bramlett sang for McCready and family members spoke about her difficulties and triumphs during the hourlong remembrance.
The 37-year-old McCready is believed to have shot herself last month on the front porch of her home in Heber Springs, Ark. That's the same spot where David Wilson, her fiance and the father of her second son, also is believed to have committed suicide.
Authorities continue to investigate.
