Wind Downs Power Lines, Trees in N. Mississippi

JACKSON, Miss. (AP, abc24.com) - A line of thunderstorms moved across north Mississippi overnight with strong winds bringing down trees and power lines.

The National Weather Service office in Jackson says they've received no reports of injuries.

Meteorologist Alan Campbell says damage was reported in Tallahatchie, Yalobusha, Lafayette, Calhoun, Chickasaw, Itawamba and Monroe counties Thursday night and early Friday morning.

Campbell says winds were clocked at between 40 and 50 mph.
