VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) - The body of a woman was found from the Mississippi River on Tuesday.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace tells The Vicksburg Post reports that the woman has not been identified.
Pace says the body was taken by a sheriff's department boat from near Baxter Wilson Steam Electric Plant north to Ergon Marine's dock near DiamondJack's Casino.

Pace says a call was made to E-911 that a body had been seen in the water. He says it was not clear who had spotted the body.

The body was found by Ergon workers near the power plant, about 2.6 miles south of the Mississippi River bridges.
