ESPN Announces Super Tuesday Men’s Basketball Schedule

Vols' featured twice.
ESPN announced its Super Tuesday schedule for the 2014 men’s college basketball season Monday – showcasing a game from the SEC and Big Ten every Tuesday for nine weeks beginning Jan. 7. Tennessee has been selected to be a part of two Super Tuesday contests.

The Volunteers’ conference opener at LSU on Jan. 7 and UT’s home game against Florida on Feb. 11, both are 7 p.m. ET Super Tuesday tipoffs. The Big Orange are one of four SEC teams selected to appear in multiple Super Tuesday clashes this season.

The weekly ESPN doubleheader tips off at 7 p.m. ET each week, followed by a 9 p.m. ET game. The SEC and the Big Ten will play conference matchups, switching timeslots on varying weeks, through March 4.

Every Super Tuesday game involves a team in ESPN.com’s preseason top-25 poll, including seven matchups in which both teams are ranked. Tennessee enters the season ranked No. 24 in that poll.

All Super Tuesday games will be available through WatchESPN, accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app, through ESPN on Xbox LIVE to Gold members and on Apple TV to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.

The 2013 Super Tuesday series averaged a 1.2 US household rating – marking the highest-rated college basketball weeknight series on ESPN last season.
