HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Ole Miss freshman Noah West carded a 4-under par 68 on Saturday and is tied for first at the Magnolia Amateur heading into tomorrow’s third and final round.
The Tupelo native moved into a tie for first at the par-72 Hattiesburg Country Club with a 68 on Saturday after firing an even-par 72 in the opening round on Friday. Fellow freshman Connor Davis is tied for third heading in the final round after carding back-to-back rounds of 70 and 72, while sophomore Joe Lewis is tied for 23rd after back-to-back rounds of 73.
Incoming freshman Ben Wolcott is tied for 11th after posting a 3-under 69 on Saturday, while redshirt freshman
Chris Ingham and incoming freshman Jacob Ross are both tied for 40th with a two-round total of 150.
Tomorrow third and final round with determine the individual tournament, while the college team champion is based on the combined scores of two players on the same team over the three rounds.
