Redbirds, Zephyrs Postponed In Homestand Finale

Doubleheader Scheduled For Tuesday, June 11.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Thursday morning’s scheduled series finale between the Memphis Redbirds and New Orleans Zephyrs was postponed due to field conditions and inclement weather in the Mid-South throughout the evening. The game will be made up as part of a 5:02 p.m. doubleheader on Tuesday, June 11 when the two teams play a pair of seven-inning contests. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m.

Wednesday's scheduled game at AutoZone Park between Memphis and New Orleans was suspended due to inclement weather with one out in the top of the 12th inning with the Zephyrs leading 6-2. It will be resumed at 6:05 p.m. on Monday, June 10 and followed by a regularly scheduled nine-inning game between the Redbirds and Zephyrs, which will approximately begin 30 minutes after the completion of the resumed game. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets from today’s rainout can be exchanged at the box office for any future 2013 regular season contest, excluding July 4.

The Redbirds embark on an eight-game road trip with the Oklahoma City RedHawks (Triple-A Astros) and New Orleans Zephyrs (Triple-A Marlins), beginning at 7:05 p.m. on Friday evening at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Right-hander Seth Maness (0-1, 3.86) takes the mound for Memphis against the Oklahoma City piggyback combination of RHP Jose Cisnero and LHP Rudy Owens.
