MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Sources close to the negotiations have confirmed with ABC 24 Sports that Memphis Tigers head basketball coach Josh Pastner has agreed in principle to remain with the team.

The details of the agreement are still being negotiated. The deal comes just days after the Tigers ended the season in their second game of the NCAA Tournament, losing to Michigan State 70-48 on Saturday. Pastner earned his first career NCAA Tournament win in the Tiger's first round of play against St. Mary's.

With 106 wins and 34 losses in his four years as head coach, Pastner is the winningest in the U of M's history. He just finished the second year of his five year, $1.7 million contract.

Coach Pastner will likely hold a press conference on the terms of his agreement with the University of Memphis on Wednesday.
