As first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the Grey's Anatomy and Scandal creator, and producer Beers' production company, Shondaland, have sold a comedy from Cougar Town writers Christine Pietrosh and Jessica Goldstein about a group of friends who are brought together after an unexpected turn of events.
ABC would produce and also air the project if it is picked up. ABC has already picked up a cop drama from Made in Jersey creator Dana Calvo and a legal drama from K.J. Steinberg (Gossip Girl) from the Shondaland banner.
Pietrosh and Goldstein both served as producers and writers on My Name Is Earl before becoming co-executive producers on Cougar Town.
