WEST HELENA, AR (abc24.com) - A teacher is accused of having a sexual relationship with her 15 year old student. It's all the buzz in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas. The West Helena Police Chief says they're investigating the 33 year old teacher's sexual relationship with a student. The chief says a warrant for her arrest will be issued early next week. He says the 15 year old may not be the only victim.

"He's only 15. She's 33, she's the adult, she should've been thinking with her mind not her hormones,” said the 15 year old’s mother Rhonda Holder.

She exclusively told ABC24 News her son was dating his teacher for at least 3 weeks and they did “feel each other.” When we asked her if they had sexual contact this is what Holder said, “If that's what you want to call it, sexual contact from touching each other, then I guess that's what you call it."

Holder says her daughter told her about her son's relationship with a Central High School teacher last month. Holder says the teacher also works as a sub at Miller Junior High. She claims the teacher would come to her house while she was at work.

"Yes, I am very upset about it because to me if you don't stop it now how many more kids will this affect?"

Holder reported it to the principal. She claims the teacher was never fired so she reported it to police.

"Justice needs to be done in this case because this is not the first child that's she's actually dated at the school. This is the second child that she's dated at Central High School,” said Holder.

What's worse, Holder says she went to high school with that teacher.

"We went to school together right here at Central High School and for you to turn around and date my child?! He's a child, he's only a juvenile. She's the adult,” Holder stated. “She should've been the one to come to me as an adult. If you feel my child has done something inappropriate to you and in this small town why not come and contact me?”

ABC 24 News contacted the school several times to speak with the principal about that teacher but our calls were never returned.
