MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Zombies! A Memphis man armed to the teeth says he was just guarding against a zombie attack and the end of the world.

Kristen Miller remained in the Shelby County Jail on Friday night.

Shelby County Sheriff's deputies say they busted Miller on drug charges, and when they entered his house, they found a virtual gun store.

"This was a big, a big haul here," said Chip Washington, with the Shelby County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies found nearly a dozen guns, several of which were high-power assault rifles, high-capacity magazines, including a 100-round drum.

"We don't know exactly what we were dealing with here, but it was a dangerous situation," said Washington.

Investigators were curious about why Miller had so many guns, including at least one that was stolen out of Southaven, MS.

"We asked him that question and he started to talk a little bit about zombies, and he talked about Armageddon and things like that."
"Man, I couldn't believe my eyes," said Fayte Cotton, who lives across from Miller. "That's what knocked me off my feet; I didn't know I had all of that around me."

"He is a quiet young man too," he said.

According to investigators, they also found 13 marijuana plants yielding 14 pounds of pot.

"Man, you got to be kidding," Cotton said. "I wouldn't have believed that man had all that over there."

Cotton remained in jail Friday night on $60,000 bond. He's due in court on Thursday.
