These comments so far are absurd. I will be excited to see Beale St. Landing up and running when it is finished. I am about to graduate college and, instead of complaining about the mayor or the city, I intend to come to Memphis and make a difference myself!

Memphis is a joke when it comes to handling anything that should make this city a better place. Once we get what we think is going to be a decent mayor, who we think is going to do something constructive, all we wind up with are all these stories about all the money they are spending on themselves, family, and closed knit circle of friends. When it comes to doing something about the crime rate or helping the blight or those who live in areas where something good could be done or commit to hiring decent folks to run the animal shelter, you can FORGET IT! That is why COGIC and all the other big businesses pulled out and got as far away from here as they could.

Ir really is irrelevant if it is EVER finished or not, as it will be JUST as successful as the Mall downtown was. They can sell "I went to memphis and all I got was robbed & shot" t-shirts! (with NON simulated bullet holes!)
