Employee Fatally Stabbed at East Memphis Restaurant

19-year-old Aaron Vasquez was stabbed to death behind El Toro Loco restaurant in East Memphis while taking out the trash early Saturday morning.
MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Around 3:45 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, MPD officers responded to a fatal stabbing at El Toro Loco Bar and Grill at 2809 Kirby Road in East Memphis.

According to investigators, 19 year-old Aaron Vasquez was taking out the trash behind the restaurant when a man attacked him with a knife. Vasquez returned inside and collapsed where he was later found by a coworker.

El Toro Loco posted a picture of Aaron Vasquez on the restaurant's Facebook page on Sunday with the following statement:

"Travel well our dear friend Aaron. We will miss you so much. There are no words to describe the pain of your loss. God bless you and your family."

Aaron was a graduate of St. Benedict at Auburndale High School in Cordova and a sophomore at the University of Memphis.

MPD is searching for a black male suspect armed with a knife. The suspect was wearing a black hoodie and gloves. He left the scene in the victim's green 1998 Toyota RAV4 with Tennessee license plate 779-VWD. So far the vehicle has not been located.
