MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The family of a missing Memphis man is begging for your help. 78-year-old Willie Burnett, Sr. has been missing since Friday morning. He suffers from dementia and Alzheimer's.

His daughter is Mid-South Judge Betty Thomas-Moore. She said her father was last seen leaving his home in the 260-block of Simpson Avenue around 6 a.m. on Friday, February 22.

Thomas- Moore added this is the first time her dad has ever left, and has now been missing for days. She believes he might be headed in the direction of his hometown of Oxford, Mississippi.

Police have searched for him by helicopter and vehicle.

"Daddy where are you? Come home. You need to come home. This is your home. Wherever you are, wherever you're looking for, stop. Come home. Come back. We love you. We miss you. We are worried about you," she pleaded. "It is an ache that you feel because you don't know where your family member is. You don't know what they're doing, eating, is he getting enough water, is he in danger, where is he?"

Burnett's neighbor Oscar Phillips says he usually drives Mr. Burnett to the bank or a nearby store. He's been searching for his longtime friend along with family members and the police.

"I'm really feeling hurt, sad, I've been looking for him you know. Ain't nothing turn up yet," said Phillips.

Moore described her last conversation with her father, "We were in the kitchen. I told him, 'Dad, finish your breakfast.' and I kissed him on the forehead and said, 'I love you. Bye-bye, see you later.' He said ok. He calls me Betty Joe or BJ. He says, 'Okay BJ, I see you later.' Hadn't seen him since. So dad, I'm waiting on you. You said you'll see me later. I'm expecting that. I'm expecting it. I'm believing it."

Willie Burnett, Sr. was last seen wearing a yellow corduroy jacket, maroon shirt with white letters and tan pants. He drove away in his black pick up truck, a 2004 GMC Sierra with a chrome toolbox on top. The Tennessee license plate is: 929 FLW.
