I have no idea what a person's race has to do with this crime. I think people cheapen and denigrate the extent of suffering by making this a race issue. Please do not mistake me - I am a former prosecutor, and whoever did this needs to be flayed alive. I guess it is just that I fail to see how race plays a part in this. I pray that this poor child will survive, and considering her probable internal injuries, that may be optimistic. Nevertheless and despite all of our upbringing, I feel that we do a disservice by mentioning an individual's race - what they/he did is certainly irrelevant - what does it matter what the race of a horrible, evil *&$# is?
